Stunned kid lands an unthinkable pencil-flipping trick

TwitterFacebook

There are a lucky few who find their calling in life early on and then proceed to make an Instagram dedicated to it.

Flips.9 is an Instagram account dedicated to flipping things. That’s right, the entire account is videos of kids taking the water bottle challenge to the next level, successfully landing markers, crayons and even orange traffic cones.

Most of the videos on the account are made by kid-Instagrammer law.216. And a recent video of him nailing a pencil flip has both him and us blinking in disbelief.

At this point IDK 😐 @law.216

David Beckham looks totally unrecognisable in his ‘King Arthur’ makeup

TwitterFacebook

If you had to rank British men in order of how flawlessly chiselled they look, David Beckham would almost certainly make the top 10.

Here, just look at him hugging this lady.

And here, look at how gloriously sculpted his facial hair is. Look at that winning smile. Read more…

2 dogs just had an incredible engagement photoshoot so the rest of us might as well give up

TwitterFacebook

Engagement photoshoots are lovely, but can get annoying when ten of your engaged friends post them on Facebook all at the same time. We get it, you’re so in love and the photographer made both of you look like you have very nice skin.

But it’s not every day that you see two dogs have an engagement photoshoot.

Sebastian and Luna, two Washington D.C. based pups with a following on Instagram to the tune of over 56,000, showed us exactly how magical one of those can be this past weekend when they visited the city’s cherry blossom festival. Read more…

Facebook Stories are a thing now because nothing is sacred

TwitterFacebook

After years of creating Snapchat clones in standalone apps, Facebook is now taking a new approach — and it’s one that might actually work.

Following months of testing, the social network is now putting a full-on Snapchat clone front and center inside the main Facebook app. The update not only pushes you to use Facebook’s new camera feature but puts friends’ stories — yes, it’s called Facebook Stories — at the top of your News Feed.

The update, which is rolling out now, consists of three features: Facebook Camera, the Snapchat-like camera the company has been testing in Ireland and Brazil, Facebook Stories, and Direct, a dedicated space for messages exchanged via the new in-app camera.  Read more…

Wiz Khalifa is getting called out for these Instagram pics by Pablo Escobar’s grave

TwitterFacebook

Wiz Khalifa has caused upset after paying tribute to Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar in his hometown Medellin.

The US rapper posted a number of images on his Instagram account. They have not gone down well.

One image shows flowers by Escobar’s grave (it appears to have since been deleted).

.@wizkhalifa Colombians aren’t proud as you are of a murder and narco like Pablo Escobar. Show more respect. Colombia isn’t Pablo Escobar..pic.twitter.com/wTWihq0mC4

Stories are the new News Feed

If the camera is the new keyboard, then the future of social media will look more like a slideshow than a Word document. So while Snapchat invented Stories, we’ll have to get used to using them everywhere. Read More

Chance the Rapper sat in on a third grade math class and it looked really fun, TBH

TwitterFacebook

The verdict is in: Yes, math can, in fact, be fun.

‘Know this might seem controversial, but hear it out: Chance the Rapper sat in on a third-grade math class during a surprise Career Day appearance at a Chicago elementary school this week, and it looked extremely enjoyable.

See for yourself. Addition, multiplication, and subtraction are all on the day’s menu, and none of the students look even a little mad about it. The lesson even got a cool name: “Math Talk.”

Pult up for Career Day and was invited to sit in on Ms. Jackson’s class #supportCPS

Instagram will soon censor sensitive content in your feed

TwitterFacebook

Instagram just announced a major change to how it deals with posts that contain sensitive content.

The app will soon begin to blur out photos and videos that have been deemed “sensitive.” Users will still be able to view the images but will need to take the additional step of tapping on the post in order to see them.

It’s not clear what types of “sensitive” content will earn your post the new treatment. It doesn’t sound like the company is changing any of its policies but rather hoping to use the new “sensitive” filter as a kind of compromise when some users find something offensive even if it doesn’t violate Instagram’s guidelines. Memes don’t just look good on the internet, they also look good on your eyelids

TwitterFacebook

While some of us struggle to apply eyeliner in a way that won’t make it look like our eye is topped with the Rocky Mountains, others out there are busy making makeup masterpieces.

And by masterpieces, we mean memes.

Makeup artists are painting the internet memes we all know and use onto eyelids. Do memes actually make for flattering makeup? We aren’t sure, but we do know that the results are impressive as heck.
